Cultural Carnival to Enliven Car Free Day Starts Next June

Starting in June, the Car Free Day will be enlivened with Cultural Carnival. As planned before, this carnival is routinely held once a month up to June 2027.
This cultural festival will start in Jakarta's anniversary on June 22, 2025
Jakarta Vice Governor, Rano Karno, said this activity aims to tighten tourism, culture and creative economy, as well as to realize Jakarta into top 50 global city.

Rano explained the cultural carnival concept is similar to Sewu Gandrung in Banyuwangi, East Java by involving hundreds or thousands of people.
"Different cultural theme to be provided every month," he explained.
Rano continued that martial art or locally known Pencak Silat by involving two thousand participants will enliven the first activity in June.
"Of course the theme will be different in every month," he stated.
